THE PASTORAL TEAM
The Pastoral Support Team (PST) are here to support all the children reach their potential. We listen to and engage with the children and their families to ensure the children are emotionally ready to access the learning. The team lead on attendance, emotional wellbeing, building resilience, Playground Buddies, School Council and working with the local community. Parents are encouraged to be aware of their child’s learning journey we therefore welcome all parents to the ‘Parent Voice’.
At Ashford Oaks we are fortunate to have a Community Room where we host
various activities including a Toddler Group, Housing Surgery, English, Getting
Along Together, Maths and First Aid for Parents.

The team are proud to facilitate ‘Project Purple’. This is a community project that Ashford Oaks instigated in September 2014 in conjunction with Ashford Borough Council, Hang 10 and Kent Police. A piece of land in the community is being transformed into an area of recreation by our Year 6 children to provide an open space for families to enjoy and help reduce anti-social behaviour in the area. In July 2015 the project was awarded an ‘Excellence Award’ by Kent Housing Group.
