history

At Ashford Oaks, we like to give our children hands-on experiences and to ensure each child is involved with the concepts we teach. Often we use food as a real-life experience to make distant history more real and easier to understand. We use the National Curriculum to guide our topics and the children’s interests to further explore our projects. Our history-based project is taught between September to December and we are able to go into lots of depth to give the children a good general understanding of the concepts we are teaching.
